Never would have believed it in the 70s, and i wish it had never changed. As such, over the years i have removed Vegas off my list of desired destinations, because it is just as expensive or more so than elsewhere, and add gambling on top of that. At least in the old days, you didn’t really mind losing some money, provided you had a good time, and got a steak dinner or shrimp cocktail for 99 cents. Now you still go home broke, but you’re pissed off you got taken for everything.

This was the documentary that got me into roulette, but I keep finding out that they are pending on straight numbers instead of bedding on the real estate of the wheel. They were betting on the real estate of the wheel around the numbers that their algorithm had said was winning numbers they would’ve actually come out with way more money than they actually came out with, because for every eight slices of the wheel with 4 numbers it’s 8 to 1, and if you bet on 10 numbers it’s 6 1/2 to 1 but they have to be in the order that they are on the order that they are on the wheel, If you combine that with an algorithm telling you which numbers win the house advantage would be extremely slim do a bias. In addition to that they could’ve been walking away with way more money than that if they would’ve only played for less time, in fact they could’ve still been doing this to this day if they would’ve been doing it for less time at the casinos. Staying past when they would’ve broke $1,000, or $2,000 per person profit is what killed them. That’s not to mentioning they could’ve been martingaleing ( The martingale strategy is a strategy to where you double down on the numbers that you loss *2 each time you lose with the hopes that there will be an absolute position in which the losing will stop, in this case it’s hoping that there’s an absolute position in which you’re hoping that the bias will stop the losing ) straight up numbers with the hopes that the bias will absolutely play in for each number this is ridiculous, because unless you’re betting on the real estate of the wheel there’s no way this can work on single straight up numbers, because it takes 38 spins for it to hit one time. There are other ways to get this to change my making multiple different bets, but the odds are always better when you’re betting on the real estate of the wheel, same thing when you’re betting on the outside bets.
